Bitter Lessons From The Frontlines 1

Many of you are called to be on the frontlines of what the LORD is doing in this hour. You’re anointed, appointed, and full of zeal. That’s good, but that’s not all. Every now and then we need a purge that might taste bitter to regulate our physical system. In the same way occasionally we need a purge of our spiritual system. When that happens the LORD prepares a remedy that may seem bitter, but will produce the necessary cleansing. There are bitter lessons from the frontlines that the LORD must teach to regulate and equip you to function effectively in the battles you will face on your way to destiny and beyond. So, as often as He leads I’ll post them. Here’s lesson number one: pain births purpose.

“He is despised and rejected of men; a Man of sorrows , and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from Him; He was despised and we esteemed Him not…He was oppressed, and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth; He is brought as a Lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so He openeth not His mouth…Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise Him; He hath put Him to grief; when Thou shalt make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in His hand.” (Isaiah 53:3, 7, and 10, KJV)

The prophet Isaiah wrote this profile about the life of JESUS of Nazareth around 700 years before He was born. It doesn’t paint a very hopeful picture using words like “despised,” “rejected,” “sorrows,” “grief,” and “slaughter” to describe His life experiences. And check out the underlined portion in the grouping of verses; it was GOD the Father Who ordained this kind of existence for His Son because His suffering satisfied specific conditions! WHAT??? You heard me; the predetermined suffering of the LORD JESUS CHRIST satisfied necessary conditions in the realm of the spirit that the Father had to allow.

Beyond the credibility His suffering would give Him with those He came to redeem from the kingdom of darkness (us), it satisfied a supernatural principle that went into effect as a result of the fall of Adam and Eve into sin. Read the following verse: “Unto the woman He said, ‘I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.” (Genesis 3:16, KJV) The supernatural principle the suffering of JESUS satisfied was that because of sin, sorrow and pain would always be a part of conceiving and birthing ANYTHING as well as anyone!

Did GOD tell you to start a ministry? Expect to conceive and birth it through pain. Did GOD tell you to start a business? Expect that sorrow will be involved with its conceptualization and manifestation. Is GOD sending you to the nations to offer them the bread of deliverance? By now you know the answer...expect pain and sorrow to be a part of the process. The sorrow and pain of conception and birth will touch you personally as well as be a part of the thing you’ve been called to bring forth. Oh my! Yes. It’s best that you know this up front so that you will allow the LORD to harden you as a good soldier must be hardened, otherwise you may not complete your assignment. So, NO the Father wasn’t being cruel to the Son as some may infer from the phrase, “Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise Him…”

Know this; although Satan does not obey the law of GOD and the principles He has established, he’s aware of them. Had the LORD JESUS violated any of the principles that govern the natural or supernatural realm, the devil would always be able to withstand His legitimacy as the Savior of mankind in the Court of Heaven! Hallelujah for the wisdom of Almighty GOD! There is wisdom in the way the LORD is allowing you to suffer friend. Be encouraged. He has promised to supply you with all the GRACE you need to go through the process and give birth! He will be with you every step of the way and will provide excellent coaches and midwives to assist you in your process.

The LORD has impregnated you with His purpose, He will provide for you as it grows, He will be there at the moment of delivery, and He will care for and cover you and ‘the babe of destiny’ until the end of your journey…HALLELUJAH!

DECLARE: “LORD JESUS I receive this lesson from the frontlines of the battle. Your ways are different and challenge my flesh, but by Your SPIRIT of grace and might I will rise to the challenge of birthing purpose through pain. By faith I receive Your provision, presence, protection, and support every step of the way! Amen."
