“The full soul loatheth an honeycomb; but to the hungry soul every bitter thing is sweet.” (Proverbs 27:7, KJV)

When physical hunger isn’t satisfied repeatedly or for prolonged periods of time, it can threaten the health of a living thing. Physical hunger can be relatively easy to satisfy when food is available. Under normal circumstances it’s easy for someone to resist sweets when their hunger has been satisfied. But when a person or an animal has been starving it increases the likelihood that once they get a chance to eat, they may ingest something harmful.

Let us apply the quoted Bible verse in the context of emotional hunger. It is one of our basic human needs. When a person’s emotional needs are being met there’s a feeling of satisfaction or emotional fullness. If you asked such a person how they were feeling they’d probably say they were happy. But what happens when emotional hunger is denied, ignored, or improperly fulfilled for a long time? There is a tendency to accept every bitter kind of relationship and believe that it’s satisfying. Emotionally starving people lack discernment about relationships and the people with whom they get involved. They become “indiscriminate feeders” in the world of human contacts thereby increasing the likelihood that they will embrace someone harmful and invite them into their life.

Emotional hunger is not as easy to satisfy as physical hunger when the object of one’s satisfaction is another human being. And since everybody is looking for someone or something to satisfy their physical and emotional needs, the demand far exceeds the supply. In addition, most of us have horrible seeking skills when it comes to finding love. Most people don’t know what true love is, relying on the latest popular song to tell them!

The Bible teaches us that GOD is the embodiment of love: “He that loveth not knoweth not GOD; for GOD IS love.” (1 John 4:8, KJV) Also note that there’s a word of caution in this verse to those looking for love; only those who know GOD are able to give love. Unfortunately Christians stricken with love hunger that read this verse do not see this warning. Hey Christian, why are you emotionally hungry like those who are not saved? Why are you trolling Facebook, Instagram et al looking for a “love connection”? It is NOT in the LORD’S character, will, WORD, or way that any of His children’s needs go unmet! That’s why GOD chose to demonstrate His extreme love for us by sending His Son JESUS to die for our sins, thereby removing that which prevented us from having a relationship with Him:

“For GOD so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For GOD sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.” (John 3:16 &17, KJV)

“To wit, that GOD was in CHRIST, reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.” (2 Corinthians 5:19, KJV)

“What shall we then say to these things? If GOD be for us, who can be against us. He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?” (Romans 8:31 &32, KJV)

GOD allowed His own Son to be sacrificed as a sin offering so that we could be near Him and live forever with Him when we die. GOD did this because He longed for reconciliation from the breach Adam and Eve’s sin and subsequently our own sin created between us. GOD demonstrated clearly that there is no good thing He wouldn’t do for or give to us by not sparing His own Son’s life. Christian, if you really understand and receive this Truth you should NOT be emotionally hungry! If you are, you may be afflicted by an orphan spirit from which you need to be delivered. The orphan spirit blocks the receiving of love no matter to what extent the giver demonstrates love, thereby perpetuating feelings of emotional hunger in the afflicted.

  

Good news flash; NO ONE HAS TO REMAIN EMOTIONALLY HUNGRY!  Jehovah-jireh has provided His Son, and will provide everything else you need so that you can have abundant life. He has provided the ministry of “MARA…NO MORE!” to help you remove from your life the bitterness of emotional hunger and the damaging effects it causes. I release strength to those afflicted by an orphan spirit in the name of JESUS. Now, reach out. Receive GOD’S help. Receive His love. Amen.

DECLARE: “LORD JESUS I renounce the orphan spirit. I receive instead a spirit of adoption made possible by Your loving sacrifice on the Cross. I receive the ability to fully sense Your love for me as never before from this day forward. Never again will I settle for the scraps from someone else’s meager table to satisfy my emotional needs. I am emotionally full in You! Amen.”
