A titan is a giant; someone or something of great importance or significance in a given sphere. There’s a false belief when looking at a titan that they or it can’t be brought down or destroyed. Remember the Titanic? That great ship was believed to be unsinkable by its creators and those who boarded her for its maiden voyage. Its remains now lie beneath the waves of the North Atlantic Ocean.

The man of GOD, Israel’s great deliverer Moses was a titan. He had an uncommon beginning. Enslaved in Egypt his mother gave birth to him during a time Pharaoh decreed that the Hebrew baby boys be killed and the baby girls be kept alive. His mother made a cradle that could float on water, placed him in it, put him on the Nile River, and commissioned his sister Miriam to watch it. The cradle got caught among reeds and Pharaoh’s daughter who was bathing there pulled it out and took the baby for her own. One unusual event after another formed this mighty man of GOD’S life and character until the day he returned to Egypt to announce the command of GOD to Pharaoh, “LET MY PEOPLE GO!”

 

Moses had a unique relationship with the Almighty about which He testified:  “‘Hear now My words: If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make Myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream. My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all Mine house. With him I will speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against My servant Moses?’ ” (Numbers 12:6-8, KJV); what a testimonial! Moses became a titan of deliverance and faith because he spent an inordinate amount of time in the glorious Presence of the LORD. He had supernatural access before the advent of JESUS, His death, resurrection, and the dispatch of the HOLY SPIRIT! You may be thinking, “Wow! Nothing could take him out of that position of honor, grace, and glory,” and you would be absolutely wrong.

Moses’ assignment was to lead the children of Israel out of Egyptian bondage into freedom, into the Promised Land that the LORD GOD prophesied He would give the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The Israelites arrived at Egypt 70 souls from the household of Jacob and they left 600,000 men besides women and children (Exodus 12:37). Protection, water, food, and a way through wilderness obstacles had to be provided for this massive group of people and the LORD GOD did it through His manservant Moses. Crossing the Red Sea on dry ground, seeing the Egyptian army destroyed by the sea they’d just crossed through, a pillar of cloud to shelter them by day from the intense heat, a pillar of fire to light their encampment and keep them warm by night, manna from Heaven to feed them, meat when they wanted it, water in the desert: none of these demonstrations of the power of GOD or the divine authorization of the man of GOD Moses to lead them changed the hearts of the Israelites!  

   

The enemy used the people of Israel and their manifestation of the TRIO THAT DESTROYS TITANS to take Moses out: bitterness, perceived victimization, and offense! No he didn’t kill himself, but how many of you know that there is more than one way to die? This trio has communicability in the spirit realm. Moses became infected by what the Israelites carried and he was blocked from entering into the promises of GOD! The Israelites were embittered against Moses for rescuing them. They repeatedly complained that life in bondage was better than what he was putting them through. The Israelites developed a victim mentality toward Moses. He had victimized them with freedom and personal responsibility to obey GOD and His delegated authority. The Israelites were offended by Moses’ instructions, his leadership position over them, and his position before GOD. Periodically they took it upon themselves to choose a leader from among them to take them back to Egypt.

One day it was too much for Moses. All that he’d been through with the people: the complaining, grumbling, false accusations, ingratitude, threats, emotional abuse, verbal abuse, rejection, and misunderstanding overwhelmed his self-control and he hit the rock twice to get water instead of speaking to it as he was commanded by the LORD (Numbers 20:1-13). Moses had himself become bitter, identified with being a victim, and was offended by the people. As a result he took his eyes off of the purposes of GOD and engaged in self-defense and self-promotion. He said to the Israelites, “…Hear now ye rebels; must we fetch you water out of this rock?’ ” (Numbers 20:10, KJV) Moses failed to honor and glorify GOD for the water and he destroyed a prophetic demonstration regarding the LORD JESUS (The Rock), Who would be offered ONCE as an offering for sin (Hebrews 9:24-28). As punishment the LORD denied Moses the opportunity to enjoy the blessings he was laboring so hard for the people to receive (Numbers 20:12).

Here’s a word of warning: whenever titans in the service of the LORD respond to their accusers and tormentors with self-defense and self-promotion it undermines the role of GOD as their Avenger. In the midst of the titan moving in a commotion of carnality they lose their righteous standing with GOD and jeopardize their recompense from Him for their ministry and the things they’ve suffered.

THIS IS A PROPHETIC WORD TO THE LAID ASIDE TITANS OUT THERE. Hear me. It was a massive undertaking GOD gave you; to lead a group of people out of a place of spiritual ignorance and bondage into a land of limitless possibilities through CHRIST. You accepted the call because you loved GOD and you knew He had chosen you. But the closer you got to the promises of GOD, the more the people you led saw the miracles of GOD, the more contrary their behavior became! And you became confused and couldn’t understand why this was happening. You took your concerns to the LORD and He gave you grace to endure and move forward. Then one day you found yourself moving out of synch with the One Who chose you; you had become disobedient and failed to honor Him by following His instructions. You had not realized that the bitterness, victim mentality, and offense that were on the people were now on you. As a consequence, the LORD chastened you and set you aside and there you’ve remained until now. Satan thought he’d found a way to decommission you, but not so!

I’M HERE TO ANNOUNCE TO YOU THAT THE SEASON OF CHASTISEMENT AND DISHONOR IS OVER! The LORD Himself sent me to find you. It is your season of restoration and reestablishment, titan of the MOST HIGH! You’ve been mourning and overtaken by spirits of heaviness and false responsibility. You’ve begun to identify with accusations of being Jezebel. But in the name of the LORD JESUS I break the power of false identity off of your life, identity, and destiny. It’s time to be healed, delivered, and set free. The LORD has made a way for you. He has not forgotten your labor of love and how you ministered to His people because you love Him. NOW, IT’S YOUR TURN FOR HEALING AND DELIVERANCE! Receive in JESUS’ name.

 

DECLARE: “HALLELUJAH LORD JESUS! You’ve come to see about me! I thank You for this word of encouragement, restoration, and reestablishment. I renounce demons of false identity, false responsibility, mourning, and heaviness. I receive Your plan of healing and deliverance for me. Lead me in the way I should go. I will obey You. Amen.”
